[TPU] AMD to Turn to TSMC for ''Bulldozer'' Manufacturing - Page 5

if gf is making bulldozer now and where getting high temps bad yeilds poor performance why not try somewhere else and see if it can do it better,
yea people are right its been pushed out the door to quickly but amd are trying to compete with intel, i say fxii will be better (phenom and phenom ll for comparison) now that they know what problems they have they can sort them for the next gen

Smart move. If one plant is having issues there should be no issues with supply.

Established and owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi, Mubadala is a catalyst for the Emirate's economic diversification, managing long-term, capital-intensive investments that deliver strong financial returns and tangible social benefits to the region. Used to be owned by AMD though, until it was spun off a few years ago. AMD is a US company, thus GloFo has US roots.

I thought TSMC skipped 32nm. Is that true? If it is, then AMD won't be able to use them for CPU's. CPU's (with the exception of Brazos) are made on full node processes. Retooling a 2 billion transistor chip to get decent yields on a bulk process (which would impact those oooh so important clockspeeds in a very negative manner) would take months or even years.

Why do you even bother to post here if you don't care? This is exactly the kinda thing why was AMD forced to release Bulldozer prematurely, because of people saying I don't care just release it I'm getting sick and tired of waiting. Chill.

I mean, do you see me post here? No you don't. I don't care either so I'm just keeping it to myself.

Very interesting since GloFo and AMD are besties.
im wondering why turkish site donanimhaber is always breaking the news about amd/ati before any other site/media on the planet.

it may have something to do with the cult following ati/amd has in turkey.
