Installing SSD while retaining HDD files?

Thread Starter
Just installed my 128GB M4. I'm looking to put W7 on it along with steam+vidya games.

Can I just leave my current WD 1TB as is and boot to the W7 install on the new drive? Should I delete the steam and windows files off of it once the SSD is set up? I'd like to at least leave the W7 install on it in case the SSD ever fails.

Thoughts?

Nah, you can leave the HDD exactly as it is; it will be harmless.
