@BradleyW: Since you're not looking to watercool, I would avoid the reference/blower-type cards since they are loud and hot. Go for the Gainwards unless you can find some nice deal for another GTX580 with dual or even triple fans.
Another idea is to have one PNY on the bottom and the Gainward on top. This is to avoid having the top Gainward from having about a 10Â°C difference in temps from the bottom Gainward. Though mismatching gpus don't always look good, nor overclock as well, so it might not be a good idea.

That's true, but the GPUs exhaust heat differently.
The Gainwards use an exhaust design similar to my Hawks where the heat is expelled through the back/front/side and if I didn't have a side window exhaust fan, my system temps would be 4-5C hotter.
The PNY only blows heat one direction, so it effectively keeps the heat out of the case. This also means it's louder and hotter though.Edited by Kokin - 10/16/11 at 5:23pm
