Will this work? GTX 460 + Mushkin XP-650 AP

Thread Starter
My friend wants to upgrade his graphics card from a Gtx 260 (896mb) ( to a Gtx 460 (maybe 560).

His power supply has 4 12v rails rated @ 20a each.

The Gtx 460 says it requires 24a on 12v rail.

Will the power distribute on the extra rails or would you recommend that we get him set up with a new PSU first?

You'll be good. I believe 560s do not draw much power.

560's can draw less power than 460s in some instances, and a gtx 460 doesnt require 240W (24A on the 12V rail) to run at all unless its REALLY overclocked, youd be lucky (or unlucky) to draw more than 180W from it
