Of course, some people only read the title of a patent and then...

tada... they make the "facts" fit their preconceived conclusion.

PS, yes the title is useless in know what the patent covers. pass it around. this seems to be a well kept secret.

No, you assume wrong. Assuming is usually a bad idea. Here's a hint, a rectangle shape isn't "intellectual", it's common sense. Paper, rectangular. Books, rectangular. Newpapers, rectangular. Smartphones, rectangular. Tablets, hexagonal?

apple just wants to take out Samsung because they are threatened because androids are becoming more popular..... not more nothing less
if another company was no. 2 they would sue them, IMO this will just get you a bad name.

apple has achieved some good things no wait i mean Steve did alot of good things for tablets now they don't want to share

i wonder if that's because if the make a fatal mistake they will lose fan boys and then it will be "hey remember that apple company?"

Lordikon is correct, ignore the courts of the world, like the US, Japan, korea, all of EU, and china goverments which all believe that Apple's design related patents are valid. Gee not only are they valid, but in more they have been attacked in court and never been invalidated.

Oh, patents are by nature intellectual property.

The court rules what is legal. The point being that patenting a rectangle with a screen should have never been legal in the first place. The fact that you think what the courts have said make something valid scares me.

Are there really this many sheeple?

I love reading apple related threads. So many pc users that keep calling those of us who own any apple related product sheeple, Ifail, isheep... lol

Funny what happens to a person when they feel threatened by a superior force.

Also, why is everyone against apple. Because they have been winning? Looks like the majority of the world is siding with apple.

As for apple suing because they feel threatened by android. If they did, I'm sure they would be doing more. So many variants of android phones and no one says anything Bout that. But when apple releases a new iPhone EVERYBODY has something negative to say then.

I hope apple wins their cases.

And yes I own 2 iPhones. 4S. My wife and i love them!

So you think that only one company is allowed to have the right to make a square or rectangular (widescreen) monitor and that all other companies have to do something like a oval, circle or some wavy crap?

Phones, tablets, tvs, computers and any sort of screen in general has always been square or rectangular... Having a patent saying they're copying you by using a rectangular device is completed absurd.

But Apple argue that its own product's design is far superior to those which came before the iPad and iPhone, and so therefore its patents should not be invalidated.
Wow. What an argument. "Yes, your honor. We know our patents are for things that have been created before, but we did it better, so our patents are more valid." What's even more sad is that the judges have been falling for this...

Does anyone have a link to the actual right/patent that apple claims to have for this design? I'm really hoping that they stick to their phone/iPad crap. I love my LED samsung HDTV.
