iPhone syncs - where are they stored?

Quick question: I have my iPhone 4S set to wirelessly sync every evening with my computer (not the iCloud). Mostly, I'm wondering about pictures/videos that I've taken, and what folder they are stored in when these wireless syncs are completed... anyone know?

I don't believe photos and videos are sync'd back to your computer. You'd have to plug it in for that, I think. (Keep in mind, you can't "sync" to iCloud.)

Well, ok, here's the part I don't understand. When I was first setting up my phone, it asked me if I wanted to store backups on my computer or iCloud. I selected my computer, since the space isn't limited like it is on iCloud. I assumed that, since I selected my computer instead of iCloud, it would back up my pictures and videos there.

So you're telling me that if I back up to iCloud, then it will store my pictures and videos, but if I back up to my own computer, it does not? That seems silly...

Maybe I should just call up Apple support or something.

I do use iTunes. Looked around for a bit for settings related to this, but couldn't find much of anything helpful. I'm not at that computer at the moment though, so I can't do further looking.

When you click on your iPhone the right box with all the info has tabs with music/photos/apps/notes
I assume It would be there too mabye with photos since iPhone saves videos in photos.

Can't tell you for sure either as I'm not at a pc

Hmmm... I'll check on it. I'd like to view the pictures/videos without plugging in my phone though, and the iPhone only appears in iTunes when it is connected.

Connect your phone to your computer, go to iTunes, select device, and under the Photos tab it will tell you the location.

Probably a hidden folder that you can only access through iTunes, because computers are scary, and the notion that a user might want to access his content without using an Apple product baffles the developers.

Do a search on your computer for photos/videos. Either they will show up or they are stored in a virtual disk.

Then use iCloud
/nvm I see what youre saying. Plug in the iPhone and make sure you have it checked off to sync the photos and video otherwise they weren't even pulled off the iPhone. Then it should also tell you the folder where it's kept.
