Steam account hacked or stolen??

I have no clue if it is, i logged out of steam and i do have Cloud Steam enabled sync for protection and my email is verified. 5 mins later, i was playing Crysis 2 and i quit the game and decided to get on steam. I tried logging in and it kept saying my password was wrong and i knew i didn't put in the wrong password so i decided to go ahead and reset it to start fresh with a new long powerful password. Steam sent me the code and secret answer. Apparently it took me 4 times to do this because it simply won't accept my new password change. What gives? I carefully looked through every key i typed in for a new pass and it simply wouldn't accept it.

I submitted a ticket to steam. Otherwise i have been hacked SOMEHOW which i highly doubt because all my ports are closed and i don't browse stupid crap. I'm very very secure and paranoid around these parts. Do you think i caught a keylogger in my system or some file in this system causing a hacker to exploit my password for steam? Or is it a simple steam error? I might have to dban nuke reformat my hard drive tomorrow or tonight for 12 hours if i cannot find any answers why this had happened to me.

I could wait and see what steam support says but i'm still skeptic why i couldn't change it? My account is VERIFIED and i am protected. Has anyone had this problem? I never NEVER click a link or GIVE my password to ANYONE in steam. I hardly have many people on steam and i am very wise not to fall for scammers too. It's easy to know when there is on. I have my friends set and my profile is public. Nobody else can see me but only a few of my friends which are just approximately 6 people and that's it. I don't even click anything else.

Best way to find out, try to get in contact with somebody that has you added on Steam through another messenger. Find out if "you" are logged in on Steam when you clearly aren't. That'll tell you straight away.

How many times does the guys in your avatar have to punch each other before one gets knocked out, I have been sitting here for 15mins waiting for one of them to knock the other one out.

I have bets on the guy on the left

I'm all freaked out right now cuz that friend of mine isn't on messenger and the only way to get ahold of him is to text his wife but she is at work and the only way to get ahold of him is to have her text him on msn and get ahold of me lol. I got no respond. I wish i could find a way but i gotta wait and see what happens here. Thanks for the tip.
