Ok so after the SSD is installed I can just uninstall my core apps on the HDD and then reinstall them on the SSD, or is there a better way?
Once you have any information files transferred from the hdd to the ssd, you can quick format and partition it to your liking.
For instance, my WD black 1TB has 3 partitions. 1st partition is for Windows backup from the ssd. 2nd partition is copies of all my program .exe files in case something happens. 3rd and largest partition is for media like songs and movies.
