upgrading harddrives to st250dm000 seagate units that are 600 m/s transfer rated anyone know of any issues or hacks to get best performance ......
looking at pcie SSD as well but I understand there is a bottleneck some were with this board,

If there are not any issue, those seagate would run at 3Gb/s standard due to mobo spec.

60-80GB SATA2 SSD with huge HDD for storage is another nice choice.

thanks.... these drives st250DM000 as stated on their site run @ sata 6 Gb/s..... now one question I have is if I enable raid in bios will I get this transfer rate? Guess i won't know until i try... I would assume that the mo would default to sata 3 so the only question is how can i get around this???? Of course the same board was only to use AM2 cpu but I have an AM3 installed 965be x4

It will only run at sataII speeds,your best bet is to go SSD.
Check out the last page of the M2N club (link in sig) they are talking SSD for this board.
