I was reading through the CaseLabs interview on pureoverclock, and I noticed this
Quote:
Finally, we plan to release the "Gemini" series by next summer. These will be the next generation Magnum cases. We already have some exciting features planned for them.
The Gemini series will be a new design, but we're only at the earliest R&D stages, so the feature set will likely change. We'll have more information once the Merlin series gets closer to shipping.
Should I go for a M8 now or wait to see the new cases . . . ?! I am hoping that you will still be supplying parts and accessories for your older cases when the newer ones come out.

Really, thats the thing - the M8 has ALL the features I could want. So I am not looking at anything new. But I would hate to buy the M8 and then come April or so be disappointed because of some amazing new feature that these hardware geniuses thought up. But I guess that is true regardless of of what you buy in the computer world.

Absolutely we'll continue to supply parts and accessories for the current cases! That's an integral part of our business model and leverages the modular design of the cases. As new as we are, parts orders already make up a significant part of our sales.
As far as waiting goes... in this industry you have to be a moving target or the competition will eventually catch up with you. There will always be something new on the horizon, so it could be a long wait if you're waiting for a "final" design

This the ST10 is the last of the merlin, then it's time to start on the TX10-H then it's gemini. Though i wouldn't mind waiting for the gemini , an updated magnum line would be sweet

Gemini is still evolving (much the way the TX10 did). At first. it was going to be a bigger TH10, but now, it's becoming a little more sophisticated and more modular.
I'm just hoping it's long enough to take a full EATX board (I've got a dual-processor board, and might well have another as it's replacement) along with a set of drive cages in the flex bays. Ideally, it would be able to fit 2 MBs in the case, but we'll have to see....
With Gemini coming this summer, who long will the MH10 be around before it's potentially phased out?
Also, I have only one question about Gemini:
Will it be horizontal?
