I would be interested in a Diablo II or SC1 server..

Only EU servers it looks like. Nevermind, some are NA some are EU. My realm was from the first week of the game, but not available. Guess we never got an upgrade. Seems like all of the popular servers aren't being sold apart from Moon Guard.

Very cool, good show Blizz.

This is absolutely retarded (excluding the charity move).
Blizzard selling non-functioning old hardware at high prices just because it was used as a server before? No thx. Might be a bit too personal of an opinion, but who would want to collect this?

So collecting a Diablo server is acceptable but collecting a WoW server is not even conceivable on OCN?

I'm glad Blizzard is doing this because it'll make fans happier and the money is being donated, sounds like a much better option than throwing out old servers.

Way to completely miss the entire point...

There's gotta be some WoW fanboi out there with fat pockets who are willing to own a piece of that junk. Doubt they care about the charity part of it either.

I would.

I honestly consider computer components to be some of the most beautiful art on earth, functional or not. And on top of that what these components were used for... they were a part of gaming history, and undeniable collector's pieces.

There are people who get Warcraft symbols and figures tattooed on their body - permanently. There are people who take the game very seriously, and they would probably pay dearly to hold such a collection piece.

So to you, it may be "retarded," but I like the idea, and I'm sure that many of the die-hards do too.

Mreh, even if it weren't for charity... I'd still be interested if I didn't think that the final bids would be thousands upon thousands of dollars.

I think it's a fantastic idea, personally, and even if they're getting a nice chunk of change off shipping fees, I like that they're giving some money away to charity.
