[PCGamer]Blizzard Selling Old WoW Server Blades for Charity - Page 5

I'm glad Blizzard is doing this because it'll make fans happier and the money is being donated, sounds like a much better option than throwing out old servers.
I'm not saying a WoW server is unacceptable, I just never played it. Whereas I spent countless hours on D2 and SC1. When it comes down to it, it's a win/win situation. Nerds get happy and money goes to a great cause.

Don't applaud for Blizzard too much. They were making 140 million a month off of world of warcraft at one point 2 years ago. And have steadily made over 80 million a month for YEARS. They could have donated 10 to 20 million and not even sneezed... But oh yes.... 50 to 100k from crappy blade servers.. lets give them a freaking medal.

I'm glad I never gave those greedy people my money. Jesus.. thats the equivalent of you or I giving St. Judes a few pennies.

I agree but we shouldn't be applauding them for it. I'd like to see them donate a couple million just on their own.

I don't play WoW, and never did however if these servers still had data on them it would be worth much more.

I personally wouldn't want to buy a blade server if it's not functional regardless of its past use.

But they paid 350k for a years salary for the PR guy to come up with the scheme. And they want addicted gamers who live off their parents or girlfriends to do the heavy lifting here. Plus this is making the world better because now china doesn't have to force prisoners to farm gold for 12 hours because they can make more money off them that way than making them make actual stuff.

If I had really been into WoW this would be pretty cool to buy. I also like that it is going to charity.
So basically...

Transport from California to Europe = ~100 dollars
Transport from France to Europe = ~300 dollars

Well that makes sense..

All of this and no Blackrock blades?!??!?

Only the most populated server in the US and it isn't on the list! Must be because they had to upgrade them years ago from demand increases.
