So the 2GB of the 6950 would not give it an edge over the 1.2 of the 570?

Also I wonder if I should just go for the regular 570 for $20 less, or is the classified that much better..

I would go for the 570 personally over the 6950, but if you could unlock it to a 6970 then Im not sure how that compares to a 570...

If you wanna go watercool on the graphics card, get a reference gtx 570. If not then go for something like the evga or MSI TF2 or TF3.

Unless you really need display port, just go with the vanilla 570 and OC it yourself.

In general how much faster is a 580 over a 570? I just checked out the prices of those two. A 570 is about $360 shipped while a 580 is about $500 shipped. So its a good $140+ more but is it that much faster...

I'd say the 580 is about 15% better than the 570.

It's not worth the extra $140.

Here you go http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Produ...33.234.235.238

IMO the 580 isn't worth it over the 570. That's an extra ~40% of the cost of another 570 that you could then SLI.

I think I will stick with my 6950 2gb for now. At 1920x1200 I should be able to get high settings out of it..
