verify what the actual PC can handle, then pick up a HD 5770 perhaps. these can be found used for $75.00.

i have just brought myself a hd 6850 xxx black edition by xfx it cost me £103? its awesome, maxes out all games like driver san fransisco, crysis 2, battlefield 3 beta... and i overclocked it and it scores 7.8 on the windows experience which is quite nice, btw i only have a e6420 c2d at 2.8ghz so it probs bottlenecked too but performs freaking well, when i have my q9550 it will be even better so id go for one of them
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150516

i got minbe fo ebay btw brand new so give it a go... but if your a intel geek, go for a gtx 460 as i hear there on a parr with the 6850 series cards, but personally i made the change from my old gtx 560ti to my 6850 and i never regretted it, ati and intel = <3

it might require a low profile graphics card. it is probably a Dell Optiplex or something. Definately wait to have it in your hands before buying anything.

If it will require a low profile card...don't spend anywhere neara $100 on one. A $40 one will basicalyl be the same as a $100 one when it comes to gaming performance and such.

More details will help. Meanwhile, save it. That's the best you can do.

Thread Starter
ok, thanks

sorry FallOfHumanity I'll guess I'll just have to wait till I get it in... This could take a while since the migration to different systems at the office was slown down due to incompatible software (or something like that...). You'll be better of by finding a different candidate for your sale.

If it's anything like my company.. wait till the PC is in hand before planning an upgrade. They could easily change their mind..
