Sorry, should've been more clear. After playing Bad Company on 360 and Modern Warfare 2 on 360, I can see why folks would pick MW2. IMO, BC on 360's was just awful. Whereas, I had a pretty good time w/ MW2.

A couple of my friends already played the game so that's from them. I'm speaking for console by the way.
That sounds awesome! I hope the PC version turns out nice...like listen server nice so we can have proper lans again. drunken.gif

Lol, you're throwing up a 1 minute super trailer against some random gameplay from what's clearly an Xbox? tongue.gif Still, I got excited watching both trailers! Have fun w/ your new toy!

In all fairness yeah the CoD series might feel like a rehash but what else can you do with such a series? It's a shooter, new maps, new guns, and new campaign; that's it. What else do you want?

I'm not entirely sure what people are looking for, it sounds like you want a completely different game; in which case I'd encourage anyone in this boat to actually go find a DIFFERENT game.

I like the CoD series, the game started going down hill when they started featuring all these new systems. Killstreaks, death streaks and all this other crap.

If anything I'd like for CoD to move back to a CoD2-like game, it was simple and an absolute blast to play.

The game might feel boring to those that simply play campaign and some multiplayer, I play competitively on console so I always have a blast playing.

It all depends on the person though.

That's my spiel on things. biggrin.gif

but it still wouldnt change anything. i saw the multiplayer dev diary today and i was even more horrified to hear what they did with the perk and killstreak system: 3 different "point"-stream systems. some killstreaks for assault, some as support killstreaks, and one where you can be a quasi-juggernaut with all perks...the killstreak system became convoluted when in mw2 you can look up and see a harrier and a chopper gunner in the same airspace complete with predator missiles raining down like its a blizzard in the dead of winter in antarctica...

MW3 will be a good shooter. Can't wait for all the fanboys to have the mouths closed when the reviews come out.

I couldn't agree more.

Speaking of such, does COD2 run well on current pc tech/OS?

I'm old school CoD2 console, it doesn't work well on modern consoles because of some scoping HD lag (there is a significant pause when scoping in if you play on HD).

I'm going to try and get the game for PC just to see how I like it, I would assume it wouldn't have problems running.

Some people don't really understand it,

MW3 is a new game. Rehash? Its a new single-player, new multi-player maps, new takes on kill streaks and weapons, point streaks and there is many other things.

New things in BF3? New maps, new single-player, different takes/new weapons and vehicles.

BF3 is a tactical shooter while MW3 is an arcade shooter, both give you an adrenaline rush in a different way, and for that reason they are both fun.
