first true gaming pc build

Thread Starter
like the title says i've built myself several computers but none of them were any good for gaming.
i've been reading on the topic and i'm going to order the following items:

OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD 2.5" SATA III
Asus P8Z68-V Rev. B3
Razer Vespula
IKARI Laser Mouse
Zalman CNPS11X Extreme
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE Bulk
Antec High Current Gamer 900W
CPU i5 2500K
Corsair PC3-12800 8GB Vengeance CL9 (2x4GB) DDR3
Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z506

currently i have an msi n560GTX and a 21" Asus monitor.

i'll be playing at 1920×1200, i also have a green 2TB wd hard drive (for storing data)

i won't move much further from this price tag.
thank you in advance.

I wouldn't get that cooler man, looks crap. CM hyper 212+ would be better.

Nor would I get a OCZ Agility 3, I would grab a Crucial M4.

Just wondering but do you really need 900W PSU? If not you could consider getting a cheaper PSU.

Power supply is a huge overkill. Look for a 650W. Will save you some money.

What was your budget?

Given you current rig, you are going to be happy with your new one.

In that case a 750 Watt is plenty.

Seasonic X-760 if they sell it. A really good PSU, gold rated efficiency.

Good luck on your build

This, unless you plan to SLI and overclock both GPU's and CPU's, 900w seems kinda overkill.
