ok..here's your options IMO

1)2500k/2600k + AsRock z68 Extreme4 gen 3 or Asus p8p67 pro

2) m4n98td-evo or AsRock 990fx Extreme4 with 1090-1100t

either are good

Intel - for quality, better designs and higher performance and reliability.

AMD - for greater savings with less product quality and performance.

Intel has always been strong. No failed products or launches.

AMD brings close competition at lesser cost, which helps consumers by keeping Intel pricing in check. Ying and Yang requiement for consumers is a win for us.

Still either is a good choice for different people, for different options and requirements needed individually from your CPU.

This is my personal opinion.

AMD is fun but intel is a workhorse. I had much more fun playing with AMD CPUs than i have intel.

Personal Opinion, I would save some money and buy the 2500k instead of the 2600k. The i5 cools nicer and performs just as well on games as the 2600k. Take a look at my second rig if you need inspiration, that one came out to $1500 with all my peripherals included (NOT MY SIG RIG, yet). Also, if you have not looked on Directron for prices do so, I got my MSI GTX 560 Ti (OC edition) on there for $220 shipped. They don't have everything, but they do offer competitive prices.
