I wouldn't do trifire in one...i don't even think it can handle it lol. But crossfire and sli would be fine. The HAF X would just cool it a little better.

temps hardly if case is decent enough. It's like with PSU's, ppl tend to exaggerate for really small and often negligible gains. Better to invest in what's inside and what makes your games and stuff look good...

I need all the space I can get for future upgrades.

Plus I plan to trifire 11" 6970s in the future, so I need a big case and good cooling.

Decided to go with i5 and HAF X, good choice?

Yep, now some other advise would be to get a mobo that supports pci-e 3. If you do you can upgrade the i5 to the next gen IB chips when they come out and have full feature support.
