i7 with Noctua NH-D14 to hot? - Page 4

Are you fans spinning the correct way? Seems silly but I had kind of a tough time making sure I had mine pointed so the airflow wen from the front of the case to the back...

Makes me think what would happen If I use the stock cooler if now the load temps gets to 70..

Ill put out motherboard tommorow and see if the beckplate is correct and redo it one last time with a line placed vertical on the processor.
Then Ill hang myself
What temperature is it in your room?

Also, make sure that both fans are spinning the same way...

Yeah, fans are correct, I checked it everytime.
Its probably about 26 maybe a bit higher.. But even if it would be like 30 I dont think it would explain the temps..

put one..pea-sized drop in the middle..squish it down and secure it without letting up..if you are using nuts to tighten it down..tighten them in a crosshatch pattern..gradually (1/2 turns) also..check your cpu FAN profile in the BIOS..make sure it's on the highest settings

Why don't you try it with the stock heat sink and see what temps you get.
