Oh, one more thing!
I am using bios fan control setting normal which is something like 1.5 something for celcious.. Or something Max is 2.0..
And while I know that putting max will help I am trying to find the problem rather then puting my fans into warp mode. Or maybe the bios is understanding noctua fans wrong? They are connected via splitter...
you shouldnt have to the d14 should be better, it is THE BEST!, update your bios rule out anything like that first i used to have an issue with my old amd board where a bios issue caused voltages to be insanely high ill reboot and check the bios settings i use cause i just noticed you have gigabyte to

btw what is your cpu voltage ?

i'd max the bios fan settings..i still don't feel you've gotten a good mount yet..use the offset voltage setting and set the voltage to be 1.34...

Yeah, this is what I tought, I got the best not water cooler and it is not that good

I have F3 bios while F4 is the newest and F5 is the beta. F4 have some isues with my PCI raid controller, disabling the motherboard one. Contacted Gigabyte about it, no answer yet.

From what I see at core Temp I have 1.251V at 3610Mhz. Stepping down with Mhz.

ok i set the cpu vcore to normal
then dynamic vcore to +0.000

should prevent it from moving.

you have generally covered everything that it could be so im not really sure from here what it could be

Ok, so the fight goes on

I put the stock intel EDIT: cooler (not fan ) on just now.
The idle speed is 40C.. So about the same as Noctua
The load gets to 86C.

Are these normal temps for stock cooler? Or maybe there might be something wrong with the CPU?
Or does that meen that the blame is on Noctua..

Also I have notcied that Noctua surface has scratches at the top and bottom, like it would be squeezing that parts and not getting the middle right, heres the picture:

I know its blury but cat get my phone to work

So maybe the CPU is not flat?

Help

EDIT: After the stress test the idle dropped to 45C only.
Oh, and I have 24C in my room, measured

There is definately something wrong there

These are my idle temps with an i7 2600k with hypethreading and a Noctua NH-D14,it should somewhere around this.

Try reapplying the paste and reseatting

Also what multiplier are you using in BIOS?
