So the BOX cooler temperatures are ok?
If yes, then at least I know that the CPU is ok, and the problem is in noctua.

To Eduardv - Its been all said, and done. Reseated three times, no overclocking done.

Put Noctua again, temps are better, 38 idle, 65 load

So for a test I tried to overclock. Got simple 4.00GHz for a start.
I put cpu clock ratio to x40 and also changed all turbo ratios to 40.
Tried CPU Vcoreto auto, Core Temp at windows showed 1.37 so I figured I will change it to 1.250. Nothing changed at windows. So I put it to normal with Dynamic Vcore -0.100.

So now Core Temp showes me 1.3811v and CPU-Z show me 1.056 V..
Like this:

I know thath I dont understand something about those volts. What am I doing wrong and what to do? I would prefer to set the volts as lowa as possible and for manual since I belive motherboard is doing something wrong which is putting temps to my CPU...

Oh, and also I got good temps I mean 36C idle, 66 load..

Oh, and i will OC to 4.2 max, dont really need CPU any higher..

Actually the temperatures stayed the same, it seams it get those temps no matter if its stock or OCs
So how about those Volts? What am I doing wrong?

This is how the bios page in my motherboard looks like:

Looks like you have a 'don't ask don't tell' situation going on with your temps, hehe.

Gigabyte still doesn't have UEFI?

Bought some extra fans, plus more powerful fans to maybe get temps a bit better..
Will post in a couple of days..

I overclocked for a test to 4.7GHz (dont know if stable, tested only for an hour) and temp rise 2C.. I just my computer likes the temperatures that he stays in, and is trying to have them no matter what

And still dont know what to do with those volts, it looks like what ever I put in CPU Vcore, in windows theres always getting higher with every OC up.. No control of mine..

Theres no UEFI from the BIOS itslef, there is a Windows version of it. Didnt used it really, i like old school

I am having a somewhat similar problem with my 2600k and my NH-D14 - mine get to about 60degrees with prime95.
Weirdest part is, on my old Q9650 CPU, it would never surpass 50degrees, and that is what bugs me the most.
However after reseating the heatsink countless time, and getting similar results every time, ive just learned to live with it.

Same TIM used for both CPU's - IC Diamond

I am shure there is a problem with Noctua itslef.
I have eliminated everything else and I have just a bit lower temps with Noctua comparing to silly stock cooler.

Since it has 6 year warranty and I have contacted seller I will RMA it in a couple of weeks - no need to hurry - with having my cash back and getting into water cooling..

Wanted to be a cheapass and get air cooler, and look where it took me
