Will a better CPU cooler help if I got bad airflow? - Page 4

an NH-d14 wont fit in there, but you definetely need a new cooler to lower those temps as much as possible

do we reckon a nh-c14 (horizontally mounted cooler and fans) will fit in there? or a cooler using 120mm fans?

Ah well, maybe I have to get a new case. I read good things about hyper 212+, will that fit in?

You would have to make some measurements. Its a little less then 16 cm in height. So if you have 17 cm from mobo to side panel it should fit.

No name cases are usually quite small from my experience, I'd either go H80 or get some pics of the inside of your case with some measurements to make sure a D14 will even fit.

Looks like it's a little less than 16 from mobo to side panel, damn no fit then.

How about a Noctua NH-C14? Any other good low profile alternatives?
the case itself is an OLD thermaltake design(i have the aluminum xaser version of that case) as indicated by the use of 80mm fans(no they aren't even 92mm)
just eyeballing it, i'd say the D14 will fit. if you look at the top of your GPU to the end of the case(width) you got maybe 30mm worth of clearance. (mine fit an scythe infinity fine and that's a 160mm unit same as the D14)
it will be a tight fit, but it SHOULD fit.

If it fits it would be a very tight fit indeed, does the c-14 perform much worse?
