For buying Skyrim or MW3, or any other big xmas release

Thread Starter
Are you all buying digital copies from steam?
Im curious because I was thinking of buying Skyrim from Steam digitally, then thought if there are game breaking mods, that could be an issue...installing/reinstalling a 10gbsomething or more(who knows) download would suck. However, the preload would be nice, but wondering if its worth the hassle.

MW3 or Assassins Creed and such, wondering whether to buy digitally or not as well.

Your thoughts on this?

FYI - Skyrim will require steamworks - http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2182534

I personally will be buying a hard copy of Skyrim for the same reason i did oblivion and that you mentioned as well. I heavily mod oblivion and usually have multiple installs due to different mod configurations and testing. I also have a Vanilla install that serves as a copy/paste to revert any modded install back to original if necessary.

If I don't plan on doing any modding to games, then I will get them over steam. However, those I do plan on modding, I always get a hard copy for the reasons previously mentioned. It just makes everything easier imo.

Hard Copy all the way. Because the three I'm intrested in this holiday; SR3, Space Marine and MW3 are all Steamworks

Skyrim is also Steamworks so Hard copy copy there if I ever decide to get it
