If your Internet is slow at uploading, it's the best reason to use langouste.

Alright, I'll keep the Langouste then.

It has sort of worked in the past. The last unit I sent in from this machine didn't upload correctly, but based on what you guys are saying, the client is going to give me an error even though the langouste is doing its thing. I hadn't received points though, which is why I did the following, which is restart the client with the -send all flag. That sent the unit in, which I then got credit for.

Also, does anyone else say agree with the post about changing it to the EXT3 file system, or is EXT4 okay?

I've also heard from a few different sources that the EXT4 file system adds an extra hours to the end of folding. EXT3 was what was recommended to me. Here is that being said in Digigami's Ubuntu guide.

Alright, well, I just finished a unit, and it took all of two seconds to write the data to the disk, so I'm going to guess that this isn't the issue.

This is my current log file. It says that I've finished the unit and that it's been written to the disk, but if you notice, this was 20 minutes ago. Hasn't done anything since then, and Langouste is still on the "Listening on 8880" that it said two days ago.

Update time, and this gets a bump because for some reason it OCN won't let me edit my post.

Anyhow, after the unit did its derp and I let it sit for a while, it once again tried uploading. Langouste did its thing and downloaded a fresh unit, but the old one never sent. So, I restarted my client with the -send all, and it came back with "Server reports problem with unit", then it exits. Log follows.

What was the original unit?

6903?

If so, it can take quite a while to upload, and was probably uploading the whole time through langouste.

6901. Shouldn't take that long. Usually around three or four minutes at the most.

When using langouste the FAH log will never say it uploaded correctly. It will say it failed a few times then remove it from the Q. Check the log in /tmp/langouste and you will see that it uploaded.
