Are you planning to use the stock cooler? I'd recommend a CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-D14 for Air, or H80/custom WC for liquid cooling.

Custom WC isn't as hard as it looks. I suggest getting a case good with WC first. I dont know anything about the Aerocool case. But with your budget it'd be possible to skim on some components and get a case such as the Corsair 800D, HAF X, or one of my favorites, the Xigmatek Elysium.

yea dude, that's a really helpful suggestion i wasn't to sure about the ram and i want to overclock will that motherboard be alright?
post #8 of 41
Are you planning on using hyperthreading? If not, i5-2500K.
Since you are getting such a powerful graphics card, You don't need Z68 and go P67. I have the Sabertooth P67 in mind.
As for the ram, Get the G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3-2133 Cas9 8GB 2x4GB x2. The customer support is superior to the rest of the manufacturers. And, The reliability is best.
GPU- Gtx 580 3gb- Dude... It's a 6990, Nobody needs all that graphics power.
Power Supply- Corsair Tx850-V2. You don't require all that wattage.Sorry Didn't see that.
HD- Samsung F3 1TB + CM4 64GB- F3 for storage, CM4 for a super fast responding OS.
Disk Drive- IMHO, It's fine.
Keyboard/Mouse- Logitech EX100, I currently own this Mouse/Keyboard combo, and I use it as a gaming desktop for my HTPC. It is super responsive + wireless and 30 bucks.
Cooler- H100 is the best thing you can go for if you don't want to go custom. It's the best thing you can afford too with all the money I saved yo so far.
Case- Also, With all the money I saved you, Go ahead and buy a TJ07. Trust me, My dad's friend has one in his build and I drool every time I see it.

Later~

if he can afford a hd6990 & i7 2600k & a modular psu then why are you asking him to downgrade?
@op,
man stick with the hd6990,i7 2600k,ax850,z68mobo,16gb ram(since ram price is really cheap)
