Thread Starter
Well after how fast my other cases give-away exploded, and a night of thinking, I've decided to give my other Haf X away to a needing member. But this time it will be in a contest format. Who ever Needs it the most will get it. I will be paying the shipping!!!!

Rules:
1: Post a pic of your current setup ( old, homemade, jimmyrigged, etc. ) Please have a paper with your name and date in the pic to show it's legit

2: Must be in the U.S (I dont want to have to sell my kid to pay shipping)

3: Entry dead line will be Friday at 5:00pm Pacific ( Ill change the name of
the thread to " Entrys Done")

4: Myself and another member will be judging the pics to see who will get it,
which I will notify via PM ( May take a couple days to go thru the pics).

We will determine this based on WHO NEEDS IT MOST. So if your rig is made up of cardboard, ducttape, and zip ties, send in a pic. You might get a HAF X

And heres the case. It will have the video card mount and casters included.

Okay so I'm revamping my entry to include a little more detail on why my case really needs to be replaced. This used to be a Dell Inspiron 530. I don't consider it one anymore, right now I call it a computer "Frame" Not even a case. Here's the story behind how it came to be. Simply put I moved across the country from Connecticut to California. The computer was sent from CT to me by my uncle, who apparently dropped it on it's face before boxing it up... And then decided It would be cheaper for him to drop the weight of the package by not sending the side panels or monitor -_-

Here's the damage report:

Front panel= Trashed, no longer exists.

As you can see in this photo, because of how my uncle dropped it, the front panel is non-existent. It makes this case look horrible. But that's not my main gripe about it. The big issue I have with it is turning my Computer on! I have to find a small pen or fine tipped knife to press the button in order to start my computer up every time. On top of that the drop broke the little LED light for my HDD activity.
Luckily my optical drive and one of the front panel Usb's ect still work. But not the headphone/speakers.

Power supply= Impact ruined screw mounts.

So in this photo you can see how I had to Jerry rig my PSU back into place. I'm not the best at it either as you can see I got it back in there pretty crooked. I'm assuming the impact pulled the screws right out of the PSU ( or my uncle stripped them IDK) and now the PSU is stripped so it's held up by a layer of double sided tape. This worries me because I constantly have to replace that tape since over time it starts to peel away and I'm worried that the PSU will fall and break all my components. I've tried placing the Psu on top of the case and outside of it to the side but then my wires don't reach properly.

This photo shows how the PSU is drooping towards the front.

PCI slot bracket= Missing, now zip tied.

This one is my fault It's a bit hard to see in this photo but I lost my bracket that holds all the pci slots in place, so basically I zip tied them together to hold still. Sadly yet another hole for dust to get in from.

Side panels= Gone, causing system to overheat. Collects so much dust.

Here you can see both panels are gone. Causes so much dust to build fast, but I usually clean it off once a week so you wouldn't know it from the pics. Strangely enough, since my uncle decided not to send the panels with it, the system has been running a lot hotter and has on a few occasions when gaming overheated and reset. I really don't understand how this is, being there should be plenty of air flow, but it's happening! If anyone knows why please let me know! (Also do Motherboards warp due to heat? I think I'm starting to see bending near the screw mounts.)

So to sum it all up, This case is a major headache. I'm currently un-employed, (If you couldn't tell already from the quality components of my sig rig.) and staying with my father, so if that PSU falls I'm SOL if it breaks anything. These over-heating's it has been doing is a serious risk to my components if not a fire hazard on top of that! And well of course dust is always a pain! A bottom mounted PSU case like this Haf-X your generously giving away would fix any and all problems I have with this system, Including overheating, risk of a falling PSU, a pain free start up! My only other option would be to probably take all my components out of the case and place it on a box, but I'm worried about it overheating like that as well! That's my dilemma. It's embarrassing to have company over. It's my only computer (sig rig) so I'd like to run my system safely with a new Haf-X Tyvm for your time!

Edit: I have since added cardboard "panels" to the sides and it's running cooler now. I'm assuming the rear exhaust fan doesn't work properly without sides? Thanks for the idea Fatalrip!

I'm in. My P180's case panel tabs all snapped off and one of them is bent because of the tabs being broken off and having too many cables. ;_; I also got it used with a million scratches in it and temporarily remedied it with spray paint. :d
