Since it's obvious that Bulldozer will not succeed bring AMD to the status in which it once had, I figure it's time to build another Intel system! My first build is my sig rig. Gonna give that one to my brother.

So here are the specs for the new build:

PROCESSOR:
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

MOTHERBOARD:
ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION LGA 1155 Intel P67 / NVIDIA NF200 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

CASE:
Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

GRAPHICS:
2X EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

PSU:
NZXT HALE90-850-M 850W ATX 12V v2.2, EPS 12V v2.91 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

RAM:
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 996988

SSD:
Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

HDD:
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

DVD:
ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

EVERYTHING is coming tomorrow 10/18. So i'll have pictures up by tomorrow night. The case is going to be custom painted white along with the psu being sleeved white/blue combo. DVD drive also getting a paint job.

First Impressions? Hope ya stick around to see how things play out!!!

(WC will happen but a little closer to the holiday season as more funds arrive!)

Looks nice. On a off-topic about the lackluster AMD bomb drop, I'm an Intel fan myself but I hate to see any competition straight fail as it really lesson's those that want to push boundaries. We don't want a monopoly or the end user will get screwed.

Intel holds 80% market share... and manages to keep prices very nice IMO. I spy a monoply

I'd imagine a large fraction of that being thanks to businesses and whatnot.

If AMD were to do something truly amazing (not that they will...) it'd only take 3-4 years(or so) for AMD to own the entire marketshare.

Prices are far from how nice they could be but more profit means more money to invest in advancements.

Disregard this comment.

I apologize.

I'm subbed as i'd like to see how the paint job goes and how well it performs for the cost.

Looking forward to it.

are you having it painted professionally or are you gonna dissemble it and paint it yourself?
