which is the best silverstone raven? - Page 2

if you get the raven, make sure you get the RV02-E

the -E is the evolution version which has the exact same internals as the FT02 but cost $50 less then the FT02.
I'm about to spring for the FT02. The RV02 seemed a bit plasticy to me. The FT02 is mostly aluminum and steel. A little more conservative exterior as well looks-wise. But I agree with psyclum. If you're going to get the RV02, get the RV02-E. I'm VERY excited for the hard drive mounting system.

From what I hear you can watercool these cases, it just takes a bit more work, and keep in mind that if you use a normal sized rad then you're either going to be blowing the air out the bottom or pulling the hot air through into your rig.

thanks for the help you guys,

so i was thinking between the rosewill thor and the raven rv02-E, which do you think has better cooling for the their worth?

im using a rosewill challenger right now, so i feel that i can trust rosewill, but that raven man..... also the FT02 looks amazing as well, its just definitely out of my price range right now.

also noob question:

what is a rad?

I have a Raven-02BW that I'm trying to get rid of.

I liked the Raven a lot but I had to migrate to a smaller case.

A rad is a radiator for water cooling.

Actually, I've heard that the RV02-E has been phased out, and that the 'normal' RV02 now comes with the Airpenetrator fans as well. I couldn't find any official news on this though.
Also, the standard RV02 now seems to come in different versions, I've seen v1.7 and v1.8 pass by...really confuses me, as I was actually going to get the RVo2-E myself until I saw the above news on Tomshardware forums.

IMO honestly do not go with a raven. I bought one and was sadly disappointed. The quality was not what it should be for the price, the case is extremely heavy compared to others and just working in and around it was a major hassle and def not worth the $$.
I ended up just giving away and reverted back to a 4 year old case before I got my current case.

For the price there are far better cases.

The most current version of RV-02 is 2.0, at least that is the one I got 1 week ago ... and it does come with Air Penetrator fans (the ones with swirly grill)

Doubt it, I had no idea what exactly I was going to get in there so I was surprised to see the 2.0 revision and new fans
