which is the best silverstone raven? - Page 5

Kinda strange seeing people getting alot of dust in their Raven 02-E. Are you putting the case on a carpet or something?

it doesnt matter where you put it, dust is inevitable. filters and case placement just "help" the amount of dust you get.

haha, i feel like a fool,

i researched the length of the ft02, and its actually much bigger then my rosewill challenger.

so im assuming now that some mid tower cases will fit what im looking for just as well?

well, since there seems to be a split of opinions on the raven series, i dont think ill get it just yet. ill have to do more investigation.

so i guess ill be looking for a case that:
has great air cooling for crossfire
looks sleek, not having things jutting out of it
not haf, from what i have seen from the series, i am not interested. sorry.
full tower, or big mid tower (ex: bigger then rosewill challenger case[18.50" x 7.48" x 17.08" L*W*H])

thanks for the help everyone! rep + to everyone since its been a good discussion

I know it happens in every case, but it should be far lower than average in the Raven, given a proper surface to place it on of course

Check out the level 10 by thermal take. Its at your $200 budget but supposed to have nice cooling. Put a couple of the 121's in there and a few on the bottom of the case and you should keep your gpu's pretty cool.

styling is def different...

that is definitely an interesting case. its not what i was looking for styling wise but it definitely looks good in my book.

im wondering about the cooling though.... how do i fit everything in there? it looks like everything has a box to itself? if everything is inside a box, how will the fans get air through them?

google the pics. Looks like there is spots on the side, on the bottom and on the top.
It appears to only cool the items that really need cooling. No drive cooling.

i checked some more info on it for you and that thing has plenty of room on the inside and has built in filters, woot!

good luck to what ever you decide.

Some utter nonsense being posted in this thread ...
DUST - watch this review:

the case has 3 180mm intake fans at the bottom with dedicated slide out filter for each fan.

PERFORMANCE/NOISE:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...a-iv,2946.html

I would say to the OP go for the SilverStone Raven 2 Evolution as it has a better hard drive cage (including 1 hot swap) and the air penetrator fans. You may also want to look out for the new usb3.0 version - although to be honest it isn't a big deal routing usb3.0 up to the top (as opposed to all the way across the case and out the back). You can also easily update to front usb3.0 via an upgrade part for a couple of bucks as well ...

It is basically the same interior as the much more expensive Silverstone Fortress FT02 and has very similar performance and noise levels.

ok, ive decided.

ill be getting a silverstone ft02, read alot of reviews on it and comments and have not seen anything bad about it except some stuff about wires and defective hdd trays.

i want to know though, whats the difference between FT02B and FT02S?

i wanted to get the white FT02S but i saw that there was only an S version of it.

as far as i can tell, the white is ft02s and the black is ft02b
