If your card can be detected by motherboard BIOS, using bootable pendrive with atiflash.exe, you simply type "atiflash -i", you should see the slot number the BIOS assigned to the 6950.

Edit: Why didn't you try the cleaner suggested? Could be a simple answer to this if it does work.

If the 6950 can be detected by Windows as you said, put it back in.

Go to Device Manager > Display adapter > select 6950 > property > select delete.

PS. Where is Mr. Crystal_Castle ?

I used this article from TechPowerUp to fully unlock mine to a 6970 and then back to just the 6950 with unlocked shaders. The provided batch program also has an option to revert back to stock, which worked just fine for me as well. You can find the proper BIOS to reflash with in their BIOS collection. You might try this.

For all you know, I'm a Ms... So don't go trying to call me out.

OP, your card should be in slot 1. Try this command

atiflash -f 0 backup.rom

that should force your backup rom onto it, assuming you have the switch in the correct position. If that doesn't fix it post back and we can go from there. I'm 100% willing to bet it's not a software issue, since the computer won't post with that card as primary.

In case you didn't catch that, instead of backup.rom it should be whatever you named your backup rom
