CL6 Ripjaws X not running at rated timings

I just checked with CPUZ and my timings are CAS9? BIOS is set to optimized defaults. Shouldn't it be running at CAS6? What gives?

no it will run at jdec speed and timing.. you will have to manually adjust it or enable xmp to get rated speed/timings.

here is an example of me changing it from xmp or standard jdec (to give you a look at what it should look like when changed)

Thanks. I noticed one thing though. In the SPD info tab of CPUZ it is indicated there that the XMP Profile of my RAM sets CR at 1T. When I choose XMP in the BIOS, it sets it at 2T automatically. Why is that?

XMP doesn't always work the way it's suppose to, just set the timings and votlage manually.

Weird, in G. Skills website my RAM is rated at 6-8-6-24-2N but when I try to look at the SPD information in CPUZ it's 6-8-6-24-1N. The BIOS sets it at 6-8-6-24-2N anyway.

Alright, I guess I'll leave them at default settings for now. I'll finish building up my rig first before overclocking everything
