In my recent experience, I have an OS drive with 0309 and it runs great. I recently bought a new one that came with 000F but I got blue screens when I hooked it up. I switched the new one to 0309 and it runs fine now.

Ok. The downgrade process is exactly the same as the upgrade process, right?

Yea, you just download 0309 and start the program that comes with it.
