You will see them show up for your storage controller, not individual drives. In device manager find storage controller and check driver version.

So i guess this is good?

It was under IDE/ATA/ATAPI controllers.

I'm looking for someone to potentially take over the club
As you can tell I've been pretty distant with OCN over the past few months.
Hobbies and work have been alittle too demanding for me to be spending time on here.

Weak reason I know.

Just PM me if you're interested

Hey everyone...I haven't been around since last fall when I built my system. My OS is on my Crucial M4 64gb. As per a new post, I was having some issues the other night which actually seem to have been caused by the SATA cable. In the course of troubleshooting, I updated firmware on my SSD and so I've also run AS SSD and SSDLife (free) and figured I'd post.

How does this look? Is the write speeds in particular a bit low?

And fwiw, I am still running Win 7 x64 SP1

Hey all, been a while since I posted in here.

Basically I've just picked up a second Crucial M4 256GB SSD so I can RAID 0 it with my current M4 256GB (it was on special offer and I couldn't resist it, £45 off!)

I have some questions with regards to how I go about getting this setup in RAID with my current SSD. First off I've noticed that the new Drive has a different firmware, its been shipped with 010G and my current drive has 0309 do both drives need the same firmware? Would there be issues running different firmwares in RAID 0? Also would I be better off using the 0309 firmware as I believe there is/was issues with 010G, mostly I think with UEFI.

Also do I need to do a fresh install of windows 7 to get myself setup in RAID 0?

Thanks

EDIT

Just updated my current SSD to 000F, noticed a slight decrease in performance from 0309, but I'm not to bothered about that, going to see if I can downgrade the 010G firmware to 000F on my new drive. Then work out how I want to get them raided up.

EDIT 2

Removed my Current SSD and put in the new one with the 010G Firmware and downgraded it too 000F, weren't any problems in doing so.

All I did to achieve the changes to both drives was to burn the 000F firmware to a CD then boot from it, the software handles the rest I was only asked to confirm 'yes' or 'no' to changing the firmware.

Next job fresh Install of Windows in RAID 0, any advice from anyone would be appreciated

Thanks
