hard drive maufacturers go by 1000 instead of 1024 which windows does
which would look like this
128 Gigabytes
128 x 1000 = 128,000 megabytes
128,000 x 1000 = 128,000,000 kilobytes
128,000,000 x 1000 = 128,000,000,000 bytes

But windows does it like this
128,000,000,000 / 1024 = 125000000 kilobytes
125000000 / 1024 = 122070.3125 Megabytes
122070.3125 / 1024 = 119.2092895507813 Gigabytes

and i noticed that i had my old computer in sig

You also paid for a 1 TB hard drive but only got ~931 GB

Above is correct with regards to Base10 (1000) and Base2 (1024).

Marvell use pci-e lanes and have crappy drivers. Also they don't support trim for SSD's
