oh, what? I didn't even see that. That sucks. I wasn't building during the early 1366 days, but were motherboards with SATA3 expensive?

Yeah, your scores on SATA 2 are just what they should be. Healthy drive is healthy. thumb.gif You're still gonna see a ridiculous boost over mechanical. Enjoy!

Eh, ~200-300 on average.

The trouble is with those boards was that the SATA 6Gb/s was not native intel SATA 6GB/s and it was capped and had issues.

Got a 128gb when Newegg had em on sale.
Will post a AS SSD screenie after work.

One question, what is the difference between a 9mm and a 7mm drive...other than the 2mms. biggrin.gif
And how do I find out which I got...

my ePeen hopes I got the bigger one... biggrin.gif My brain hopes I got the better one....

Please add me to the club.

I just "upgraded" from an Intel 320 80GB SSD to a Crucial M4 128GB. I needed a little more space and wanted to take advantage of the SATA3 ports on my ASUS P8Z68V-Pro/GEN3 motherboard. I used Acronis True Image Home 2012 to clone from the Intel to the Crucial...seemed to work flawlessly and I think my AS SSD results are on par so I am pleased so far. By the way, I bought the Crucial from Amazon and it came with the 0309 firmware already installed.

I know this is up for a lot of debate, but what is the latest concensus about whether or not to keep Windows 7 SuperFetch disabled?

Looking forward to learning from everyone and helping out when I can.

Does nothing really for the the SSD just makes boot longer, W.E.I. should disable it by default anyhow by setting it to manual in services, if not do it manually and in the registry set it's value to 0 along with PreFetcher.

Guide for it in my guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds
