That is not sectors lol, that is main partition alignment.

He has 4MB alignment offset

You have 1MB alignment offset

He does not have a MSR partition while you do before your partition thus you have a larger # show up.

Your MSR partition takes up 100MB or 102400KB + your 1MB or 1024KB offset so you get your 103424 showing in the top left.

Not much difference in performance really b/w 1MB vs 4MB alignment.

How do I do a NAND erase of this drive? I installed a 32bit OS but have since gotten a 64bit one that I want to install into it, how would I go about doing this? I have no real knowledge of things like this and thus am asking

Hey guy I'm getting my M4 256GB delivered today. I have couple of questions.

1) I already have an Kinsington SSD 64GB. Will it be ok to clone it? The OS is already SSD optimized. Or would you guys recommend a clean install better?

2) Do I have to do anything to the drive before installing windows? For example "Booting and partitioning MBR for Windows 7" like in Sean's guide?

3) Anything in particular I have to do different than the M4 128GB in terms of setting the drive up for the best performance possible?

Thanks a lot! Can't wait to start using this drive and actually be able to use my Steam games on it. 64GB was too little space and could only use it for OS and a few programs.
well i cant comment on whether you shoudl clone - Im a fan of fresh install everytime but thats me.

I feel you on the 64gb being too small

Im at just the rigth amo8unt of space with my 138 gb, because its 9only actually 119 gb lolthought i would be close, but with Windows 7 ultimate, SWTOR and my wifes WOW, e only used up 40gb
