1) I already have an Kinsington SSD 64GB. Will it be ok to clone it? The OS is already SSD optimized. Or would you guys recommend a clean install better?
2) Do I have to do anything to the drive before installing windows? For example "Booting and partitioning MBR for Windows 7" like in Sean's guide?
3) Anything in particular I have to do different than the M4 128GB in terms of setting the drive up for the best performance possible?
Thanks a lot! Can't wait to start using this drive and actually be able to use my Steam games on it. 64GB was too little space and could only use it for OS and a few programs.

I recently cloned my Intel 320 80GB to a Crucial M4 128GB and it seems that things are good. Here's my AS SSD benchmark after the clone:

Yes you can, you can use Windows system image or easus todo backup for example to do so.

Nah, since you are making a image you cant really anyways.

Everything in my guide lol. Make sure you have the Intel SATA driver installed, people miss it somehow....

Lol... yes I still have about 10-15GB left but its running out quickly. The only game I have installed on the SSD is StarCraft 2 but I wished I could have more games installed on the SSD. I got a bigger SSD so I don't have to worry much about space. My RAID 5 takes care of the big stuff. My 64GB SDD (my 1st SSD) has been fantastic to me though (going to my HTPC build) even with the limited amount of space.

Thanks for answering my question by the way. (By SATA drivers you're talking about Intel RST right?)

hi i got a crucial 128gb from the recent price drop. i tried cloning from my intel x25m 120gb to the m4 using intel cloning tools. it detects, runs and when it was time to reboot, it rebooted until only a blank screen with a grey line....lucky i was able to reset and my x25m still works on next boot. strangely the m4 is empty so i think nothing was cloned.

i am thinking because i set my system to raid in bios when i installed win7 to the x25m...i tried to change the mode to ahci in bios but the cloning still stops at the blank screen.
maybe i should do the regedit?

If you have windows 7 just do this: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/663-backup-complete-computer-create-image-backup.html

or use Easus ToDo Backup
