What's the general consensus with the Intel RST on the Crucial M4?

I know it says it's recommended on Seans guide but it seems to be a YMMV thing when reading various other forums and users experiences.

Here is my latest bench with the new firmware. Decent score although I think my 4K-64 Thrd scores are lower than some.

501

EDIT: I installed Intel RST, restarted and then ran the bench again.

501

I'm not overly impressed... some scores up and some down...

Nah, they are about right, but you should install the intel RST driver and see if your score improves. it should.

Question:

I'm gonna be cloning my Crucial M4 256GB from my current OCZ Vertex 2, when it comes in the mail today (I'll be using EaseUs todo backup) --- I'm not sure if any of this is relevant to my question, so I figured I'd give more information rather than less

Will it be ok for me to install the new firmware rev. after the cloning is done? Assuming that the drive I received doesn't have the new firmware.
