I'm gonna be cloning my Crucial M4 256GB from my current OCZ Vertex 2, when it comes in the mail today (I'll be using EaseUs todo backup) --- I'm not sure if any of this is relevant to my question, so I figured I'd give more information rather than less

Will it be ok for me to install the new firmware rev. after the cloning is done? Assuming that the drive I received doesn't have the new firmware.

yes you can update it after.

Awesome.

Thanks Sean. Figured that was the case but just wanted to double check.

Just got everything up and running (ran into a couple unexpected snags in the cloning process)

Anyway, here are my results with the 256GB

558

My SSD came with the new firmware rev. fortunately. Everything seems to be OK?

Anything else I should do (TRIM check? Alignment check?) or just enjoy?

This thread has been very helpful. Thanks!

So does this look normal for the M4 128GB?

511

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Enterprise (free copy from work) last night. I did notice it seems to boot a few seconds slower than Windows 7 Professional which I would assume is do to the extra processes that are used. I might flip back over to Home Premium eventually.
