I didn't feel like doing a fresh install although I'm sure that would have fixed it too.

I did fixed mine by disabling Intel Rapid Start Technology. It's very new to Z77 mobos.

Here is mine. biggrin.gif. Arrived earlier this week, only just got around to installing it. Can't complain. My WEI went up to 7.9, putting my graphics card and processor in the update firing line!

-I read somewhere that certain kind of SSD lower a lot the speed when nearly full......that happen with the M4 SSD too ??
-My mobo is kind of old...AM3 one...will I need some kind of BIOS update or something to install the SSD ?? or just "plau and play" ?? (Im planning to do a clean windows install in the SSD)
thanks

I'm running a SATA II mobo myself with the 64GB M4, it's alright. I'm getting 250-275/110 on sequential read/write. So about half the speed.. But think about when you upgrade to a newer motherboard you'll have extra performance gains!
All forms of storage run slower when they're almost full, it's just the way it works. All in all you should be fine if you leave 10% free.
You shouldn't need a BIOS update, it will be plug and play. Though you will want to run the SATA controller in ACHI mode as opposed to IDE mode. (Do this before Windows 7 install)

After 12.3 version i think AMD has f#'d up the installer...

Unzip the package and use the manual "Update Driver" method from the device manager and select the amd_sata.inf in the unzipped folder.

I just installed a Crucial M4 SSD 256 Gb but my read speeds are very disappointing: On SATA3 they are 375 Mb/Sec Sequential. I've seen most people get up into the 400+ range. I've updated all firmware, updated the SATA 3 drivers, is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Are you using the Intel 6Gb SATA port? If you use Marvell or other 3rd party SATA ports, you won't get good speed like using Intel SATA ports.

Also, make sure you have AHCI enabled.
