ok good to know guys. Thanks smile.gif +1

It just seems like my boot time is slower... could it be because my HDD is getting filled up?

Just got two 128GB M4s in the mail today. I just installed one in my laptop and it's absurd how fast this thing is. It's only on SATA 2, so it's not even running at full performance. I'll install my other M4 in my desktop tomorrow most likely.

Today, I was so bored that I checked WEI and my ssd came out as 7.3 so I started running benchmarks and I updated the firmware etc. The scores I'm getting are pretty crappy compared to others. When I installed Windows on this drive around 2 months ago, WEI was at 7.9. I don't know why the performance fell...?
Any ideas?

Add me to the club! Grabbed a 128GB from Newegg for $99 earlier this week. Just installed and finished updating everything!
Installed on my Asus G60VX Laptop, just finished doing the JBB Laptop tweak and did this test right after reboot

501

Are these scores good?

Hi guys! I an running M4-CT256M4SSD2. This is my current score.
498

I have tried different sata 3 cables and ports and I still get readings ranging from 644-676. I have tried Updating Marvell Controller and JMicron JMB36x Controller drivers. Am I missing something? What else can I do to achieve a score around 770-800 like my friend who has the same computer and components as me? Any help would be great!

I have reinstalled with settings from:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds#

I have updated all drivers to current as well as updated bios on my mobo P8Z68-V - firmware on my SSD as well. I don't see any place to disable Marvell Ctronoller anywhere as I heard that might help with the speed. I am using intel rapid storage.

Can i join the club?
I put a Crucial M4 256gb in my Vaio VPCF13Z0E.. Sata 2 controller
Fresh install with the recovery discs i created when i first got the laptop..
Updated the M4 firmware to the latest using the windows 7 utility..
Also updated the intel AHCI driver
338

Test 1 4k speeds a bit slow..but this is because of the PM55 chipset in my laptop i believe..
378

Test 4 Disabled C3/C6 in bios
378

AS SSD results - Dissabled C3/C6 in bios
