So, i just disconnected the 2nd card, and GPUZ still shows the first card running at x8?

Nevermind that. Try suggested in my previous post. What did you see in Device Manager for both display adapters?

Device Manager shows good on both cards.

I am just about to hit the sack (I work nights) and will do the uninstall/re-install when I get up.

x8/x8 is not a significant problem for X-fire. You will lose at most 1-2% of performance.

Remember, PCI-e v1.x is still insanely common, most GPUs are designed only to need that level of performance. And a v1.x x16 slot provides the same throughput as v2.x x8. Only real top end cards need any more than a v1.x x16 slot, and even then not by much.

OK, after you do that and if it still doesn't work, go into your BIOS advance options see if you can disable some of the devices sharing resources with the PCIe lanes:

1. Set Initial Display Adapter as PCIe.
2. Disable iGPU Multi-Monitor.
3. Disable ASM USB 3.0 Controller.
4. Disable ASM USB 3.0 Battery Charging Support.

Try running a 3d mark benchmark and see what's the score i think ur cpu is bottleneck to ur Xfired gpus try overclocking it to atleast 3.0+ ghz and the gpu and the ccc are showing that the cards are xfired so what's the issue????????????? Try changing the card and put them in different slots i meant the current card which is the 1 slot put it in 2nd and vice versa
hope that helps

Alright, got the RMA started with Asus, mailing out today. DL'd CAP2 stuff. Installed, and when the other card gets back, will start that adventure again.

Note: You have to uninstall all Catalyst + CAP prior to install a second card, though they are identical. This is to reset the profile and registry set by the single card. Don't skip this, it will save you time from troubleshooting later on.

Ok. I will do so as soon as the card gets back.

Thank you Ken, and everyone. You have all been a big help.
