[MPC] Western Digital Now Expects Flood Damage to Have "Significant Impact"... - Page 20

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. If NO ONE has noticed the price of external HDDs are still at pre-flood prices.

Hitachi Touro Desk and Touro Desk Pro are essentially internal Hitachi 5K3000 and 7K3000 respectively, the fastest 7200rpm >2TB on the market.

Prices are $119 and $189 for the 2TB and 3TB respectively. The 'Pro' is essentially the 7200rpm version and is only $10 more. Grab them while you still can!

I know I did, I'm taking them out of their enclosures and using them as internal drives.

Those are awful prices. Hitachi HDD's have always cost around half that amount.

What are you smoking? kookoo.gif

Prices on Hitachi's internal 7200rpm 7K3000 2TB drives where always around $130 pre-flood period. Never has their 2TB drives fallen under $100.

The sub $100 2TB drive you're talking about is their low power 5940rpm drive, the 5K3000. I bought one back in July 2011 for $69.99 and it was through a Newegg deal, original price was $89.99

201

Their external 7200rpm drives are exactly the same price as it was pre-flood period.

I don't know why people are complaining about drive prices, guess not everyone knows how to find bargains or know how to be flexible. rolleyes.gif
