Newegg Shenanigans. (not their fault) - Page 5

I've never once had a issue with newegg, and looks like your problem isn't newegg's fault anyways. Other people are also getting broken sealed FX CPU's from other places as well.

Maybee. If there was a note in the box from Newegg saying this then I would be fine with it.

I honestly don't see how it's harsh? I was just curious as to who he's working for so I can spend my money wisely in the future. If anything Narwhal and Scollins is more like trolling than my comment was.

OMG! It's sad to see a bunch of grown people acting like my 10yr old. Grow up, and grow a pair. Retail often does as manufacturers ask. "hey ______, we need you to open up the product and add a flier, or we are shipping you some update media, can you insert them into our equipment boxes?" It happens everywhere, from gamestop, to newegg, to amazon.... even in the warehouses of stores like walmart, sears, target, etc.
I think you need to quit complaining about an open box that you got some money off for, be happy that your product works, and get on with overclocking it already.

People, like big buisness, are not perfect. Give em a break

Could have been this.

I'm simply saying it //has// happened and it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case.

We got ours open...No big deal, cores are working well...I still prefer our ES but, again, can't complain.

Thanks. This was also why I posted, as I was uncertain if it was just me or if this was happening to others. Since it's something that's preety much happening all over the place, I'll take my 20 and enjoy my processor and yeah i'm sorry newegg for being harsh I won't blacklist, but I'd appreciate if you told us about it thanks.

As for the company that Masked is a vendor for, they'll still stay on my blacklist, I have my reasons.

Ooh missed your post there.. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't realize that note was on there for it. I think your'e right though about them opening it to put that in.. I guess the next set of BDZ that will come after they are in stock would have this note in it better hehe.

he stated many posts before that this happened. why do you think i told him to stop because you werent going to be happy ?
seriously, how long would it take for someone to recieve a brand new bulldozer processor test it then ship it back then it get shipped to you ? im possible for it to be a return to newegg then reshipped out. 6 day shipping, rma, return, and reship and recieve ? lol.
do as all posters are reminded, read the response posts. all of them.

Would be nice if you changed the title of your thread though. Seeing as how it isn't there fault.

People who don't read the thread are gonna instantly come with a conclusion, it is OCN where people don't read anything but the first post, or sometimes just the title even...

A) I have a pair. Checked.

B) As I said, I've never had a CPU come from Newegg opened before. That's 8 years of shopping with them (that I have in active invoices still on their website). Over $10k in invoices. I can say the same thing for Amazon, as well as Microcenter, and even the now-defunct Monarch Computers.

I agree they are not perfect, but to ship an opened item as "new" on your website without informing the consumer in some manner is irresponsible. And if AMD pushed for this, it's irresponsible of them as well

Not that you were harsh...but coming from me (the person who didn't purchase it), it might have seemed like I was trolling...sorry for the confusion.

SHORTENED
I agree its irresponsible. Though if its something AMD pushed, as it seems to be exactly that, and no other e-retailers are putting up a notice about it. Chances are AMD pushed it that way, and would mean its no way the e-retailers irresponsibility.
