Update: 3 hours of prime95 at 1.408 and everything seems ok thus far. Dont know how much more ill be able to squeeze out if im already at such a high voltage!

1.408 is perfect m8.

It honestly doesn't matter what the voltage is if you have proper cooling across it. I would run my chip at 80c every day if it weren't for the actual heat coming off and bothering me lol.

So I *choose* to have it under 70c under load. Besides, you get to a point where you can have a good overclock with great temps under load, then when you try to squeeze more out your temps jump up so much it's not really worth the trouble. Diminishing returns

Gunna be approaching 1.40 just for 4.5ghz the way its going.
If that is with loadline there is no way that is right or you have the worst i5 2500k ever.

What I would do is drop the multi and run prime blend to be sure that everything is kosher. If that runs fine for a couple of hours its all down to core speed and core voltage.
