Nope no water-blocks out for them atm. and I don't think any company is planning on making blocks for them since they aren't a reference design. But honestly you won't really need blocks for those cards, they have beastly cooling already.

Thanks guys, but what will be better? Get the evga card or the lightning? Can you clock the evga further than the lightning? Of course the evga on H2o runs more quitly, lower temps and it looks amazing.

I saw the 580 evga cards, 1 normal and 1 hydro copper, but way more expensive. Is it not cheaper to take a normal one and put a water block over it? But if I read correctly the lightning extreme out perfom the evga?

The lightning is going to be better of the two for overclocking on air. It is probably the fastest stock gtx 580 available. The EVGA classified may give it a run for it's money, I haven't heard, but yes the lightning will generally OC higher than an EVGA card stock. Once you put an EVGA card under water you can over volt it, and get some nice OCs, while running cooler and quieter than a lighting.

Yeah the Hydro cards from EVGA are a bit pricey, and you could probably do it cheaper just adding a full block to a regular card.

I just got my gtx 580 this week, so I haven't even gotten a chance to play around with it to much. I may put it under water this weekend if I get time, just to see if I can hit 1000 mhz on the core clock.

Hi here not trying to hi-jack But I do have a very similar question.

I recent starting my new rig and decided to to go with the 3g hydro copper and wondering if i should go with a sli set up. I plan to have 2 monitors but not in eyefinity set up. I hoping that one should do me fine for gaming for now.

It's hard to say. Will you be gaming with two monitors? Hard to imagine what types of GPU intensive games you'll be playing with split screen to be honest. Most gamers who use multi displays would go for 3 screens mostly for FPS and Racing games.

I would probably go for an SLI set up if I had the money if you plan on playing games such as BF3 on high/maxed settings on multi displays.

If you're not gaming on multi displays then I believe a single card will do just fine.
