G.Skill 1866MHz CL9 timings Incorrect? - Page 3

Thread Starter
Set VSS/IO to 1.125V.
Set DRAM Voltage to 1.550V.
Did 9-11-9-29-2T.

Show's up correctly in CPU-Z now (instead of 11-11-11-28-2T).

However, my time per 1M on Hyper Pi increased by a 10th of a second.

The "Channel" field in CPU-Z is still blank (instead of 'Dual' [id imagine]).

Thoughts on this?

Alright, time for some good news!

Set frequency to 2100MHz
Set VCC/IO to 1.15V
Set DRAM Voltage to 1.6V
Did 11-11-11-28-2T

Voila. CPU-Z is reporting the RAM @ 2100MHz.

It also knocked a whole second off my original Hyper Pi test.

Unless its a software bug with Cpuz it should say dual. The memory should be in slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 to run in dual channel.

I have 4 sticks of 4gb ram. So A1, A2, B1, B2 are all filled, bought I thought for some reason that that would still be Dual Channel, if not Quad Channel.

It must be a software bug unless someone has an idea what might be wrong. Just an FYI there are no motherboards that are currently Quad channel until Ivy Bridge comes out. The Intel 1366 boards are triple channel.

I guess by Quad Channel I meant dual Dual Channel, lol. I don't get it, but man is this machine ever fast.

you can start in sticky's or here (this is not for Asus MB but you can learn a lot from this guide)

http://www.overclock.net/intel-gener...uide-p67a.html
http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showth...e-Overclocking

P.S. why would you want to run 5.2 ?(4.7 is plenty for 24/7)
