CaseLabs Surface Elevation Stand?

Thread Starter
Hi Jim!

An idea that popped into my head that might make some sales (though I'm not sure - but you would get me!) would be some type of elevation stand for the cases.

My computer goes under my desk as it is a giant beast, as I'm sure most CaseLabs owners can agree (and adore!) and man is it sucking up dust like a vacuum.

I searched around but the best I can find are narrow, typically made for a regular Dell or whatnot.

I was wondering if it would be possible to create some type of elevated stand, maybe even just 3 inches off of the ground so the case doesn't sit directly on the carpet.

Any suggestions?

Oh btw, I still love my case.

Well you could get a pedestal and then not put anything in it...

Or, a couple phone books. Or some 2x4s.

Yep, a room remodel should do it The TX10 casters will be available soon (as an HD version) and have the same bolt pattern as the standard ones. They are 3" high.

This reply may be better in another area but i felt the conversation shift may have made it appropriate here if asked i would erase and post elsewhere.

I agree their cases deserve to have a house and desk designed around them! Though I too have been interested in a stand that would hold the TX-10 with pedestal with some sort of rails or retention that would hold them in place and the entire setup could just be wheeled around like i had taken a Dollie to the setup. Me being me though I've been talking to someone about designing one for me that would have additional area for copper cooling blocks + a TEC system. despite that a Case Labs option Dollie designed for the easy transport of their behemoth models would not be a bad idea to offer beyond Castor wheels. Do you think there is a possibility that you may take Case Labs forward in this direction to produce an option like that?
A second idea may be adding in or contracting to sell some multi-monitor stands, by offering an optional case top or extended case top designed to "Click" the monitor stand into a retention system atop the larger case designs.

If you attached the monitors to the case, there would be no room for your legs, the case has to go to the side of the center of the monitors. Bear in mind a tx10 with pedestal will nearly be the size of a fridge lol. It will come with wheels, so the only big deal is if you've got to go upstairs. Personally I want to mod a remote control system and some motors on it so I can drive it around. Who wants to push it when you can ride on it?

I have a perfect solution for you: Milk Crate

I had two TR-140's on the bottom of M8 and they wouldn't suck very much air up (but a lot of dust) because of the close proximity to the floor. Simple solution was propping my case up on a milk crate I had...It fit perfect! Literally the crate dimensions end right at the rubber feet, so it's snug and very very sturdy:

My case is intended to go at the end of my bed so a desk or my legs are not even a consideration to me as such center monitors are actually a practical application. though remote control is appealing
The Dollie idea is more about moving from home to home or the ease of minor adjustments or the rare occasional lan party. In addition to limiting the need to disassemble much for travel. If i was to consider a desk i would just place the case behind a desk and adjust the monitor stands appropriately a stand properly weighted could easily lower the center of gravity for such manipulation.
