Laptop friendly games

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm currently in college with my laptop (specs below) and I need a game that I can play in my free time. I have a mouse, but I want a game that I can play on the go that is touchpad friendly. I like the civ series, wow, blocks that matter, etc. I like games that involve progression, leveling up, advancing civilizations etc. Thanks in advance.

You should check out the OnLive service. Assuming youve got a decent internet connection it will be great on your laptop as it doesnt require any hardware to run.

That's a really interesting concept. The only problem is that the internet at my college can be spotty, and tends to disconnect every so often... Also, I gave up monthly subscriptions when I gave up wow.

I never really got into Age of Empires for some reason. Fps is a no go, for some reason while holding a button down on my keyboard my touchpad stops working, so no walking and looking. I'll look into those emulators though, maybe relive my gamecube days.

There is a series on youtube of a bunch of old great games that you can play with an integrated card. Lot's of swearing and it's long, beware!

I'm not looking for low spec games. I have a switchable graphics card and my laptop can run civ 5 pretty good, I'm looking more for games that don't require a mouse, more keyboard oriented or turn based games.
