Cinebench is getting the points wrong!

I've been benching and here are my results.

wPrime:
N270 w/HT - 140 seconds
A330 w/o HT - 100 seconds
A330 w/HT - 70 seconds

Cinebench 11.5:
N270 w/HT - 0.25
A330 w/o HT - 0.25

A330 w/HT - 0.50
Pentium 4 w/HT - 0.50

Cinebench 10:
N270 w/HT - 750
A330 w/o HT - 1100
A330 w/HT - 1500

Now, as you can see, the results speak for themselves..

It would appear as if, a logical thread is 40-50% as powerful as an actual core in benchmarking software. How does this apply to real life? I have yet to see.

But there is one problem. Where the A330 is supposed to get 0.31-0.33 points in Cinebench 11.5 with 2 core and 2 threads (as in, no HT), it gets the same 0.25 that the N270 gets with 1 core and 2 threads.

Meaning that Cinebench 11.5 thinks that threads = cores.

And I think that is very weird.

I'm not familiar with the Atom's implementation of HT, but the performance impact of HT is generally extremely variable from one application to the next. Some will see very marginal benefits, some will see very large benefits.

The Cinebench 11.5 results are odd. However, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that HT on the atom could be as useful as an actual core, in this test, on this architecture, though such situations would be extremely rare.
